In 2008, Los Alamitos Race Course will celebrate its 58th season of pari-mutuel racing. Instead of neighbor against neighbor match races like those that began this magnificent course, horses at Los Alamitos in the year 2008 will race for purses that total a national Quarter Horse record of over $20 million.
